One Last Hurrah Before Basic Training

I had pulled strings (not very difficult ones) but none the less strings to get the 11am to 7pm work shift at Books a Million that Saturday. It was my last day working there for at least 9 weeks, but i wanted to make sure that I got off in time to enjoy my last Saturday night of freedom. I had long been training with the National Guard one weekend every month but finally my ship out date was less than a week away. That up coming wed was the day my father would drive me to the MEPS station, were i would begin the whole Army Basic Training crap. I and Brian had decided for me to wear a white muscle shirt with a black stretch shirt over it with my plain blue jeans and brown worn leather shoes. Once at the club we all did our usual things, we each got our drinks (i had already had 3 and a shot before i got there) and we all slowly started to get into the dance mood.
